Hi Everyone! My last set of stitchmarkers arrived last week, but I didn't want to post until I got all of my outgoing sets into the mail. (Finally!)

These lovely green markers are from Angie P. The drops have little pink flowers in them that you can't see from this picture. I wish I could bend wire triangles like Angie did here. (I always break the bead when I try to make the bend). She also included a handy tool that has a hook on one end and a point at the other, kind of like a combination knitting needle and crochet hook. I bet I can use it for cables, and I know it will come in handy for fixing knitting mistakes. Sure wish I had it on the train today, I tried to kitchener stitch my socks with a paper clip! I also love the Grapefruit Ginger hand cream from Restoration Hardware (I didn't know they made hand cream!!).

I'm so happy. More markers came in the mail (dance of joy). And I even have pictures! Come look at my joy...

This first set is from Jennifer. She sent these babies way back when, and I finally got around to posting the pictures. Aren't they pretty. And the hand lotions smells wonderful.

This second set is from Kena, who sent a wonder set of pretty and happy yellow beads. I love the loops, they're great for lace knittng.

My third set is from Lynda. She sent a very pretty set of blue and green glass beads with bright yellow flowers in the center. Harbinger of Spring, I say. Along with the markers was a sinful looking bar of chocolate (I barely managed to snap the picture before my daughter spied it...). Thank you Lynda for the wonderful markers and treat. I also love the post card. The dragon is adorable. They're one of my favorite creatures.

The fourth set is from Angie P. She sent a fantastic set of markers made from polished stones. The colors on these beads are fantastic. And perfect for lace knitting. Love them. Along with the markers, Angie sent a pot of hand cream (grapefruit ginger - I want to lick it!) and a nifty tool. It's a crochet hook on one end, and a pick on the other. I have no idea what it's called, but it is so useful! Also, nice and compact. Thank you, Angie. I love everything.

OMG! I thought I had another week AFTER Feb 24th to send out my markers! Well, I have them packaged up but I wanted to get some cards to include with them. So, Kena, Jennifer, Angie, Lisa and Lynda, your packages will be in the mail this Saturday when I can get to the post office. Sorry, I just assumed I had another week after the deadline, so was taking my time. I also was hoping to be able to solder the rings to make them more sturdy. I never found the soldering iron, so I guess maybe next time?

On another note, here are all the beautiful stitch markers I have received. My pictures certainly do not do them justice, but hopefully you can get an idea of what beautiful things have come my way.

My 4 year old daughter nabbed the package before I could take a picture, and she ate all the candies. Her preschool had lion dancers come visit and it really impressed her when they threw candies out into the audience. I didn't know about these New Year candies before...

Also, I like how you made your rings. I can't figure out how you tied off the rings.

From Lynda came these lovely markers, clear millefiore type glass with blue flowers and yellow centers along with a chocolate bar and a cute card of a dragon pulling a train:

A package from Wales was in my mailbox today, containing a chocolate bar (hmm, no photo - wonder why?), a postcard and these lovely stitch markers from Lynda. They suited this mild winter day so well - icy clear beads, sunny little yellow flowers.

I received your stitchmarkers today, thank you Kena and Catherine! They are so beautiful. I tried to take pictures but I couldn't get my camera to focus correctly. I will try again when there is more sunlight. Thank you for the extra goodies from Catherine! I like how you both made your rings. I tried to do mine that way but I couldn't get it to work so I just used plain rings.

I was finally able to retreive my master list from files I thought were lost forever. I now have everyones informaton, however.....I am leaving this swap as is and my run future swaps in the same manner. I will see how this one goes.

Please contact your partners for thier mailing address and other information pertaining to the swap. Please keep an eye on your spam or junk mail folders for emails also, sometimes they end up there.

You will also be receiving an invitation (if your new to the swap) to post on the blog. Please accept this invitation and post photos of your markers and your thank you to your partners. Just a note to let everyone know that I have not forgotten about partner assignements. I had them completed and saved on the computer and my computer crashed. I have my note book however that I keep with names,emails and number of partners, incase such things happen. With this little mishap I am going to re-assign partners and send everyone the names and email addresses of their partners and you can contact them for mailing address and color preferences.

I am sorry for the inconvenience but this is the easiest and quickest way I can think of to get the swap running.

Thank you to those who have registered for this next round, you will be receiving your partner assignment via the email address you provided in your registration information, within the next couple of days. Please contact your partners and verify mailing addresses, I am human and I do make mistakes!! ;-)

Please remember to mail you markers in a PADDED envelope. Please try to keep in contact with your partners or make a post to the blog so we all know your still alive and well (and participating). In the event that anyone does not follow through with the completion of the swap they WILL be asked to not participate in future swaps.

The swap is for stitch markers only, if you wish to send extra goodies to your partner that is up to you. You may not necessarily receive markers from those that you are sending to.

Well, I finally got my stuff together and am posting the pictures to the other three sets of markers that my wonderful swap partners had sent me.

The first one is from Lynda, who also included a delicious sesame chocolate candy bar. YUM! Thank you for everything, Lynda.

The second set is from the Taryn, who sent along a really cool pen. My daughter is learning to write, so any writing inplement is highly welcomed. Thanks, Taryn.

Stitch markers as accessories

Today was my day to accept the fact that the holiday season is right around the corner. Thought I'd share a little knitterly bling you may want to put on your holiday list this year:

Annie Adams makes gorgeous pewter stitch marker pendants on a 30" silver box chain. So cool - all these beautiful markers we make can now adorn us! It just happens that the LYS I work at is carrying them (along with matching earrings, shawl pins, and the like). BTW, it comes with a coordinating "beginning of round" marker, as shown. I purchased this twig pendant, and constantly get comments on the piece.

I'm just sayin'...

A padded envelope arrived from Canada today, containing stitch markers of lovely blue (are they sodalite?) from Valerie, along with two bags of soothing tea. Perfect on a day that was 40ºF here in Saint Paul, and doubly perfect that they're Stash Tea! Unfortunately, one blue bead was victimized by the mail sorting machine, arriving crushed despite the padding. :o( I was planning on hitting my local bead haunt for supplies later this week; perhaps I can find a replacement there.

Look how lovely they are ... I love the tiny seed beads surrounding the larger ones. So Pretty.

Lookie. Pretty Markers!

This first set is from Melissa. She also send some delicious tea. I really like the slash of red in the large bead. It just jumps out at you and grabs your attention. I think I'll use them with the heather grey scarf that I'm going to knit for my sister. Thanks Melissa, these markers will look so lovely on the needle.

This second set is from Mona.

The color and shape of the beads, and the way they sparkle, just reminds me of champaign bubbles. So a bubbly thanks to Mona for these lovely markers.

Please remember the deadline to send your markers is October 15th. If for any reason you are not going to be able to make that deadline, please email your partners and let them now with a cc of that email to me.

Also I have sent those of you who are not already granted permission to post to this blog, invitations. Please accept those invitations. The blog is our communications highway and also I am going to request that when you receive your markers you post a photo of them to the blog for everyone to see.

She also sent some yummy yarn, which I'll be making a scarf from, and two biscotti which my husband & I had with our cup of tea this morning!

I just want to apologize to everyone for not updateing and replying to emails in a timely fasion. The move is consuming my time and I am not on here much. I will do better next time.

I did get my last set today from Robin. However, I'm sad to report... two were broken... and, based on the ripped envelope (with the wrong name & address on the front), it's a miracle only two met an unfortunate accident. I think it had to go back through the sorting machine... and that second trip wasn't kind to them inside the unpadded envelope. But the three that made it through were very pretty. Thank you.

I got the most BEAUTIFUL markers this weekend but here was no return address for me to thank .. the only clue is 2 CANADA stamps.

They are LOVELY purple & Silver drop stitch markers

I have heard from the three ladies that I had report of "Marker not received from" and it seems as tho they are all in the mail. One had health problems, one has sent them with tracking numbers and is checking on their status, and the others have been sent as well. I am going to give these ladies one final week, and if their markers are not received. I will assign angels.

I received 2 sets of lovely stitch markers. The first pair came from Fran. The are beautiful and are currently being used.

The second pair came from Cheryl. I love them. I have a project I'm just starting and these will be perfect!

I've been very tardy in posting my stitch markers received so far! (I received all of these in May- eek!) I have received three of four sets so far. All of them are lovely! I love the two purple sets for the rich colors, and the rainbow bright stitch markers always catch my eye in my knitting box! Thanks ladies for some very pretty markers! - kelly

I sent markers from Indiana with the bad writing!! SORRY!! I have just about 3 hours ago gotten my computer back, had to get a new hard drive, YUK! I type medical transcription so usually my hands are tired and I write terribly because of it. SORRY for that again. I am glad you all liked them. I loved mine and actually have pictures but I haven't gotten everything loaded back up yet. As soon as I can I will try to get them posted. I am using them right now on a 2nd try a clapotis but I may pull it out. Not sure yet. HA.

stitch markers have been recieved, i have been a bad swapper for not posting, hectic work life!!
i have had beautiful stitch markers from kate,franney, ruth, and lynda.
thay are all beautiful and when i get a day off i will post piccies both here and on my blog.
